Faculty and Students from the School of Information and Communication Attend 6th Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Graduate Academic Salon on Information Resources Management

On October 25, 2025, the 6th Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Graduate Academic Salon on Information Resources Management was held in Beijing. The event was hosted by the China Agricultural University Library and co-organized by several institutions, including the School of Information and Communication, NKU. The forum was held under the theme of Data-Driven, AI-Enabled Information Resources Management. The forum attracted experts, scholars, and current doctoral and master's students in the field of information resources management from various universities across China. Professor Fan Zhenjia, Vice Dean of the School of Information and Communication, along with Professor Li Ying, Associate Professor Xiao Xue, and several graduate students from the Department of Information Resources Management, attended the forum.

Professor Fan was invited to deliver a speech titled LIS Graduate Research Topic Selection and Fieldwork Design for Real-World Issues. 

He also participated in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Information Resources Management Deans and Department Heads Joint Conference on behalf of the School of Information and Communication, while Professors Li Ying and Xiao Xue served as panel discussants.

Master's and doctoral students from the Department of Information Resources Management presented their research papers in the sub-forums. Following evaluation, they received one first prize, two second prizes, and one excellence award, and several journals have provisionally accepted their papers for publication.

The 6th Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Graduate Academic Salon on Information Resources Management provided faculty and students with a platform for academic exchanges and further deepened the School's regional collaboration in the field. Moving forward, the School will continue to strengthen graduate training, encourage students to participate in regional academic activities, and contribute NKU's expertise and efforts to the collaborative development of the information resources management discipline in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
